About Zack

Zack Tyndall is a lifelong Eastern Shoreman, a proud husband and father, and a two-term Mayor who believes in service over partisanship. With a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management with a minor in Finance, Zack brings both practical know-how and real-world perspective to the table. Before public office, he worked on a farm, became a career and volunteer firefighter and paramedic, and still holds his paramedic license today. When he’s not serving his community, you can find him surfing the waves off Assateague or enjoying the Eastern Shore’s rich outdoor traditions.

Public Servant

Zack has spent nearly a decade in nonpartisan government, building consensus as Mayor of Berlin and earning the trust of local leaders across Maryland. He was elected by his peers to serve as President of the Maryland Mayors Association and has served on the boards of the Maryland Municipal League, the Rural Maryland Council, and the Tri-County Council for the Lower Eastern Shore. In each role, Zack has brought steady, solutions-focused leadership that puts community needs first. Through this exploratory effort, he’s asking if it’s time to bring that same leadership to Congress.
